Verizon has picked former PayPal head Dan Schulman to function its new CEO as the corporate enters its “subsequent part” of development, Verizon board chair Mark Bertolini says within the Monday announcement. Beginning as we speak, Schulman will substitute outgoing CEO Hans Vestberg, who will now function a particular advisor via October 4th, 2026.
After working in government positions throughout AT&T, Priceline, Virgin Cellular, and American Categorical, Schulman was appointed CEO of PayPal in 2014 following the corporate’s breakup with eBay. Schulman stepped down in 2023 and was succeeded by Intuit’s former chief product officer, Alex Chriss. Verizon’s CEO swap comes simply weeks after T-Cellular CEO Mike Sievert stepped down, with the service’s chief working officer, Srini Gopalan, taking his place.
