April – June 2025 retail gross sales information from NZ.

New Zealand Retail Gross sales +2.3% y/y

Retail Gross sales Volumes +0.5% q/q

By way of the Stats NZ report, in short:

  • “Retail exercise recorded a modest improve within the June quarter, with progress seen in most industries”
  • Eight of the 15 retail industries had increased retail gross sales volumes within the June 2025 quarter in contrast with the March 2025 quarter, after adjusting for value and seasonal results.

The information launch has barely moved NZD/USD, its round 0.5864.
