Elisabeth Diana, head of communications at human assets Deel, is not with the corporate, in line with her LinkedIn profile.

Bloomberg first reported the information that Diana had resigned from Deel, which was just lately accused of planting a spy at rival firm Rippling.

TechCrunch reached out to Diana however had not heard again on the time of publication. Her LinkedIn profile reveals that she began working at Deel (whose CEO Alex Bouaziz is pictured above) in November 2021 and stopped working there in April 2025. She was beforehand head of communications at Instagram and company head of communications at Fb.

“We’re grateful for the work Elisabeth did whereas at Deel and want her one of the best in her subsequent endeavor,” the corporate stated in a press release.

Rippling, a workforce administration platform, introduced on March 17 that it was suing Deel over alleged spying, leveling costs starting from violation of the RICO racketeering act (usually used to prosecute members of the Mafia) to misappropriation of commerce secrets and techniques and unfair competitors.

At the moment, Rippling didn’t reveal the identify of the worker in query, however that modified on April 2, when it launched an affidavit signed by the worker, Keith O’Brien, who appeared to substantiate Rippling’s accusations.

Much more than the already-spectacular lawsuit that Rippling filed in opposition to Deel in March, O’Brien’s account reads just like the script to a film about company espionage, full with a sting operation and a smashed telephone.

The way forward for Deel, which was final valued at $12.6 billion, stays in query. The startup is backed by the likes of Normal Catalyst, Andreessen Horowitz, Spark Capital and Y Combinator. It was stated to be eyeing the general public markets simply two months in the past.

Deel responded to Rippling’s lawsuit with a press release denying “all authorized wrongdoing” and claiming its rival was looking for to “shift the narrative” from accusations that Rippling itself violated Russian sanctions. (O’Brien later stated that on the urging of Deel executives, he’d made statements to varied authorities saying that Rippling was facilitating Russian funds — though he knew these statements had been false.)

This put up has been up to date with a press release about Diana’s departure from Deel, and with extra context about O’Brien’s statements.
