Donald Trump has warned the tariff deadline of August 1 is not going to be prolonged, as he ready to announce a brand new wave of levies on the US’s buying and selling companions.

In a submit on his Reality Social platform, Trump wrote:

As per letters despatched to varied nations yesterday, along with letters that will likely be despatched immediately, tomorrow, and for the following quick time frame, TARIFFS WILL START BEING PAID ON AUGUST 1, 2025. There was no change to this date, and there will likely be no change. In different phrases, all cash will likely be due and payable beginning AUGUST 1, 2025 — No extensions will likely be granted. Thanks in your consideration to this matter!

Trump on Monday prolonged the deadline for the tariffs to enter impact by three weeks to simply after midnight on August 1, whereas additionally asserting tariff charges for greater than a dozen of the US’s buying and selling companions.
